Alchemy Inns have renovated Grangemouth’s Oxgang Bar, Kitchen and Rooms. The company stripped the bar back and have totally rebuilt it and created a contemporary new bar, private dining room and redecorated the nine bedrooms. They have also created a spacious outdoor area which will come into its own when the weather is good. Owner Tommy McMillan told DRAM, “We are really pleased with the way the venue has turned out.”
The Dundas has reopened on La Porte Precinct in Grangemouth after a £180k renovation project by leaseholder Craig McLaughlin and pub operator Punch Taverns.
The community pub reopened on 29th September after the refurbishment, which included an extensive redecoration of the interior and improvements to the pub’s facilities. The project has also created seven new jobs in the local area.
The Dundas Manager, Mel Crawford, said, “This is a really exciting venture for the town. The Dundas has always had loads of potential and this new investment has transformed it into a smart, stylish and welcoming pub.”
The Grangemouth pub will serve a range of drinks including craft beers and gin cocktails, along with a bar snacks menu. Live entertainment will also be a regular fixture in the future.
Punch Development Manager, Elena Smanio, said, “This investment has completely transformed The Dundas. With Mel and her team at the helm, I’m sure customers will be delighted with the improvements we’ve made and the warm welcome on offer.”
